Spiritual movement
Today at school is extremely boring. I can almost cry due to the boredom I've in class. I thought today would be just another day added to my life. Not quite exactly. I ended school around 3pm ++, then had lunch with Freddy at school. Then headed to Raffles City Shopping Centre near City Hall MRT.
I kinda roamed around and was like muttering, "God! why does time passes by so slowly?!" After roaming a little, I saw MPH bookstore then I decided to walk in to take a look. To my surpise, there are actually Christians books. Mind you, they ain't shallow ones that goes, "Jesus loves you, get saved today!" thingy. They actually sells very spiritual stuff books.
There's one caught my eye. The title went, "God is closer than you think." What's my thought? "WOW! I know what I can do liao! Try finish reading this book b4 I go to cell group meeting today." To my surpise, when I begin to read the book, I went on and on and on, and actually learnt tons of spiritual stuff!
You can actually bring or drift away from God just by the THOUGHTS we're thinking. The author mentions that every single thoughts we think of isn't netural. Just wow.
But what wows me the most is this one. He mentions why God doesn't want to reveal revelation knowledge to us easily. The reason is so simple. Because if we get them easily without earning them, we tend to get it for granted. Just wow. It's amazing.
He also mentions that don't feel gulity when you're watching too much TV or doing other stuff. Instead, pray a simple prayer and ask God to stay with us. I was like, "I can actually do that?!" God is indeed closer than we thought.
Guess what? I finished the book in just 2 hours! First time ever! I don't really like reading books besides the Bible so I was really very surpised.
Man, I must get this book. It's super useful.
Then I went to CGM, God's presence was so real towards the end of the CGM. Great fellowship also. Everyone in CG is kinda lovely-donly today. Guess because Valentine's Day is just around the corner.
Guess I'll have another date with Ashlee(my electric guitar lah, what're you thinking) on valentine's day.
